NIST University kickstarted its placement session with great enthusiasm from a pool of talented hashtag#NISTians. The Department of Career Development hosted a 2-day Campus Recruitment Drive by Strategic Research Insights (SRI). After a series of rigorous screenings, online assessments, and multiple interview rounds, we are thrilled to share that 5 outstanding hashtag#NISTians have secured positions in the Programming & Quality Control (PQ) Team. NIST University proudly celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day on 21st August 2025, an inspiring event jointly organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the NIST Incubation Foundation (NIST Incubator). The celebration aimed to honor the remarkable role of entrepreneurs in driving economic growth, solving real-world problems, and creating employment opportunities. As part of the event, 8 dynamic student teams showcased their innovative ideas spanning across diverse domains such as hashtag#education, hashtag#healthcare, hashtag#agriculture, and everyday convenience. Selected ideas will be nurtured further with pre-incubation support under the NIST Incubation Foundation, providing students with hashtag#mentorship, hashtag#resources, and hashtag#guidance to transform their ideas into impactful startups. The highlight of the day was a thought-provoking idea presented by a student from Maa Manikeshwari University, focusing on tackling hashtag#cellphone addiction among teenagers and enabling students preparing for competitive examinations like hashtag#NEET to maintain concentration and discipline. This cross-institutional participation brought fresh perspectives and strengthened the spirit of collaborative innovation. The event was expertly coordinated by Dr. Sushanta Sahu and Dr. BIBHUDUTTA MISHRA, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and budding innovators. With initiatives like these, NIST University continues to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, encourage problem-solving, and empower the next generation of changemakers.

NIST University concluded #AntiRaggingWeek 2025 with a valedictory ceremony held on 18th July 2025, reaffirming its strong commitment to building a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The event was graced by Shri Bibekananda Swain (IIC, Golanthara) as the Chief Guest, who inspired the students with his address, urging them to uphold values of #empathy, #respect, and responsibility in creating a ragging-free campus culture. In his remarks, Prof. Priyadarsan Patra, Vice Chancellor of NIST University, emphasized the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and encouraged students to immediately report any such incidents to the Anti-Ragging Committee for swift action.

NIST University organized an engaging session on “Turning Stress into Strength” as part of the Freshers’ Induction Program, coordinated by NIST Counselling Service (NCS). The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of NIST University organized an inspiring session on “Idea to Impact”, dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among the students. The event featured Mr. A. Surendra Nath, Founder & CEO of Vaisali Dairy Pvt. Ltd., Ganjam, who shared his remarkable journey-transforming a local vision into a thriving enterprise-and encouraged students to embrace Odisha’s start-up movement while exploring opportunities beyond conventional career paths. In his welcome address, Dr. Sabyasachi Rath, Advisor to the PR Cell, urged students to engage actively with the guest, absorb real-world insights, and recognize the boundless possibilities of innovative ideas.
