The Department of Chemistry at NIST University stands as a beacon of academic excellence, pioneering
research, and
dynamic innovation. Committed to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery and fostering
interdisciplinary
collaboration, the department offers a thoughtfully structured curriculum, state-of-the-art research
facilities, and a
thriving scholarly community. Here, we develop curiosity, critical thinking, transformative
discoveries, and real-world
problem-solving skills that converge to create a vibrant learning environment.
NIST’s journey in the sciences began in 2017 with the establishment of the School of Sciences,
offering an M.Sc. program
affiliated with Berhampur University. In 2024, NIST achieved the status of a unitary university,
enabling it to
implement an independent curriculum tailored to emerging scientific advancements.
At NIST, we emphasize a holistic approach to education, providing cutting-edge infrastructure, advanced laboratories, and numerous opportunities for students to engage in ground-breaking research. As students embark on this academic journey, they will become part of a dynamic intellectual ecosystem that fosters creativity, critical inquiry, and collaborative learning. Our faculty members are not just educators; they are dedicated mentors and collaborative partners in shaping students' academic journeys.
