Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Master of Science (M.Sc) programs are meant to provide students with a foundation knowledge of science and then develop advanced practical and research skills in them. Both B.Sc and M.Sc are more of standardised degrees focusing on a set-number of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Students after qualifying class XII (Science) can seek admission into B.Sc, a three-year program, and students after successful completion of B.Sc can go for M.Sc, a two-year program, in a recognized university.
NIST is one of the most illustrious institutions for graduate and post-graduate courses in science. Surrounded by engineering and management wings of the institution, and taught by the most illustrious faculties mostly from IITs and the likes, the students learn scientific and analytical way of life from the very beginning. The students also witness a lot of cultural and academic events throughout the academic calendar.
