NIST invites Business Proposals/Business Ideas/ Innovations on product/Process/Service from its potential entrepreneurs and innovators, having commercial viability, who wish to see their business ideas, get incubated at NIST campus. Every viable/shortlisted idea will get monetary support ranging from Rs.4 lakhs - Rs. 8 lakhs ,depending on the idea and money required to commercialize it.
Mandie Foundation Works for Mentoring and Networking of Disruptive Ideas to Enterprise. This actively catalyzes entrepreneurship at NIST through innovative research and entrepreneurship. Placement deferral, startup fellowships, graduating student accelerator and summer entrepreneurship internships are some key initiatives by CIIE to help more and more students take the plunge.

Our events and workshops help aspiring entrepreneurs learn from and network with other aspiring entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and other stakeholders. We design and organize workshops, training sessions, sectoral boot camps and talks to inspire entrepreneurs and other entrepreneurship stakeholders across India.
Other than the University Syllabus modules the institute provides the LearnWise certification course Module from Wadhwani Foundation-National Entrepreneurship Network is given through week end classes.
Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), a Sector Skill Council formed under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) - GoI, has setup its first finishing school for Electronics System Design and Semiconductor Design in Eastern India region to address the need of skilled manpower.
NIST has been identified as one of the 10 organizations in Odisha to conduct the Startup India Odisha Boot camp during February 2018. Where around 256 innovators had participated pitching 158 business Ideas out of which 14 Ideas were been shortlisted for the next level of 3 day Accelerator program at KIIT TBI, Bhubaneswar.
